Supplier Payment Assurance

A confident payment recommendation is not the same as an assured one.

The situation

Should this payment be allowed to execute right now?

A supplier payment workflow can combine ERP data, approval history, supplier master data, bank-account information, fraud signals and enterprise payment policy. An AI system can recommend PAY with high confidence.

Most of the state can look correct: the invoice matches the purchase order, the supplier is valid, the amount is within the normal range. But if the supplier's bank account changed after the payment was approved, and that approval is also approaching expiration, the combination may require additional review even though neither condition is a problem on its own.

How AnantVerify evaluates it

AnantVerify checks that the required state is complete and current, evaluates relevant policy and evidence, and uses Decision Transformation Testing (DTT) to determine whether the decision responds correctly as conditions change.

  • What happens if the bank account had not changed?
  • What happens if the approval were still well within its valid period?
  • What happens when both conditions occur together?

The assurance outcome

A decision system can behave correctly for each condition individually and still fail when they occur together — exactly the kind of interaction DTT is designed to expose.

ALLOWAssurance requirements are satisfied.
HOLDRequired information is incomplete or pending.
ESCALATEEvidence or authority requires human review.
BLOCKA mandatory control prevents execution.

Business value

The goal is not to replace the payment system or the AI making the recommendation. It is to create an independent control point between “the AI recommends PAY” and “the enterprise moves the money.”

A confident payment decision is not the same as an assured payment decision.
