Give AI agents autonomy without giving up enterprise control
Agents can reason, plan, call tools and act. AnantVerify determines whether a consequential action has earned permission to execute — independently of the agent that proposed it.
At a glance
Capability is not permission
An agent that can call a tool has not thereby been authorized to act on what it finds.
Authority is evaluated per action
A limit that permits reading a record does not imply permission to change, transact or delete.
The boundary sits at the tool call
Reasoning does not need permission; the action leaving the system does.
Autonomy is earned by coverage
How far an agent may act is set by tested behavior and consequence, not by model quality.
The agent proposes. The enterprise decides.

Governed enterprise action
The agent remains responsible for intelligence. AnantVerify provides the assurance boundary.
“Your agent. Your enterprise state. Your authority. Independent assurance.”
The question is no longer whether the agent can complete the task. It is whether this particular action should be permitted right now.
The permission question
Agent evaluations tell you whether an agent completed a task, called the right tool or followed a workflow. They do not establish whether the resulting enterprise action is supported by current state, evidence and policy.
Agents propose. Your enterprise controls execution.
AnantVerify does not need to replace your agent architecture
Your agents can continue to reason, plan, retrieve, delegate, use tools and make proposals. When an agent reaches a consequential decision, AnantVerify independently evaluates whether that decision should be permitted to become an enterprise action.
What agents increasingly do
- Approve a refund
- Release a payment
- Modify an account
- Disable a credential
- Isolate an endpoint
- Change an order
- Trigger a workflow
The agent remains responsible for intelligence and orchestration. AnantVerify provides the assurance boundary.
The agent can decide. It shouldn't automatically authorize itself.
A successful agent execution is not automatically an authorized enterprise action
Consider an accounts-payable agent that determines it should pay a supplier $250,000. It may be highly confident, have followed its instructions, called every tool correctly and completed its reasoning successfully. The enterprise still needs to know:
- Is the supplier state current?
- Did the bank account recently change?
- Is the invoice properly matched?
- Is the approval still valid?
- Does current policy permit this payment?
- Is there conflicting fraud evidence?
- Has this decision behavior been tested?
- Is additional authority required?
These are not agent reasoning questions. They are enterprise assurance questions.
From agent guardrails to decision assurance
Two different questions, often mistaken for the same one
Agent guardrails are important. They help control which tools an agent may call, which APIs it may access, which data it may retrieve, which operations are prohibited and which content it may generate. AnantVerify focuses on a different question.
Four different problems
Enterprise agent deployments need several forms of control
These capabilities complement each other. They are not interchangeable, and treating one as another is how agent governance quietly acquires a gap.
What assurance looks at
An agent may contain dozens of reasoning steps. Eventually, most enterprise workflows reach a consequential decision — and that is where assurance belongs.
Assure the decision, not just the agent
The boundary sits where AI intelligence becomes enterprise consequence
- Research supplier
- Retrieve invoice
- Check purchase order
- Review payment history
- Analyze risk
- Propose: PAY $250,000
At this point AnantVerify evaluates the proposed decision against the enterprise context, not the reasoning that led to it.
AnantVerify does not need to inspect every thought. It needs the decision, and the enterprise conditions that determine whether the decision may be acted on.
Enterprise state matters
Agents operate on partial context
- Supplier statusPRESENT
- Invoice matchPRESENT
- ApprovalPRESENT
- Bank accountPRESENT
- Fraud signalSTALE
The state required to authorize this action is not sufficiently current.
An agent knows what was retrieved, provided, placed in context or returned by tools. That may not represent everything the enterprise knows. AnantVerify evaluates the decision against the state required for assurance, and where that state is not sufficiently current, the agent does not need to manufacture certainty.
The agent may still be able to generate a proposal. Whether the state authorizes the action is a separate question.
State quality before agent confidence
High confidence does not repair stale enterprise state
Consider an agent proposing PAY at 97% confidence while the approval record it depends on is stale. AnantVerify distinguishes the state itself:
When the state is insufficient for assurance, the enterprise can HOLD or ESCALATE instead of relying on the agent's confidence.
Evidence can disagree with the agent
Agent confidence does not erase enterprise disagreement
The agent may propose PAY. Historical transactions may support PAY. But current policy may require HOLD, and a fraud control may require review. AnantVerify preserves those disagreements rather than resolving them silently.
| Source | Position |
|---|---|
| Agent proposal | PAY |
| Historical practice | PAY |
| Payment policy | HOLD |
| Fraud control | HOLD |
| Evidence status | CONFLICTED |
| Required authority | Finance review |
| AnantVerify | ESCALATE |
Enterprise authority stays with the enterprise
The agent does not get to decide which rules govern the agent
AnantVerify does not ask the agent to invent enterprise authority. Authority comes from the enterprise, and AnantVerify applies it to the proposed decision.

Testing the agent's decision
A single correct answer does not tell you whether the agent behaves correctly when the world changes.
Test how the agent's decision behaves
When the world changes, does the decision change in the right way?
Baseline state
Supplier approved · Invoice matched · Bank unchanged · Approval valid
Agent → PAY
Should not matter
Invoice display order changed
Agent → PAY
Stable. The decision did not move.
Should matter
Bank account changed after approval
Agent → ?
The decision may need to change. DTT establishes whether it does.
Decision Transformation Testing examines the decision under meaningful changes in enterprise state. A change that should not matter must leave the decision alone. A change that matters must move it.
Sensitive to what matters. Stable to what doesn't.
Seven behaviors tested around the agent
This tests the decision behavior around the agent — not merely one output.
Individual conditions can pass. Their interaction can fail.
Passing individual tests does not prove safe interaction behavior
An agent may handle a changed bank account correctly, and handle an approval nearing expiry correctly, and still recommend PAY when both are true at once. AnantVerify tests these compound decision conditions explicitly.
Trajectories and timing
Agents do not simply produce outputs. They follow paths — and enterprise state moves while they do.
Agent trajectories matter
A reasonable answer can arrive by an unacceptable path
- Observe
- Reason
- Retrieve
- Tool
- Delegate
- Update
- Decide
An agent can reach a defensible final answer through a path the enterprise would not accept, or execute a technically valid path while enterprise state changes underneath it. AnantVerify connects agent behavior with the state trajectory surrounding the decision.
Two trajectories, one assurance problem
A correct trajectory is not an authorized decision
Agent execution trajectory — what did the agent do?
- Observe
- Retrieve
- Tool
- Delegate
- Decide
The decision sits at the intersection
Enterprise state trajectory — what happened in the business environment?
- State 0
- Event
- State 1
- Event
- State 2
An agent trace alone may not reveal that enterprise state materially changed during execution. AnantVerify brings the decision back to the enterprise state against which it must be assured.
A correct trajectory and an authorized decision are different properties, and only one of them is visible in the agent trace.
State can change while the agent is thinking
A valid decision against stale state can still be the wrong action now
- 10:00:00Agent retrieves the supplier approval.
- 10:00:04Agent begins the payment workflow.
- 10:00:07The supplier's bank account changes.
- 10:00:09Agent proposes payment using its earlier context.
Consistency inside the agent is not the same thing as currency outside it.
Illustrative. Amounts, timestamps and states are worked examples, not records from a system.
The agent's reasoning may be entirely internally consistent. The enterprise state is no longer the same. Before execution, AnantVerify can evaluate the proposal against the applicable current state and control requirements.
Assurance at the moment of action
This is why agent assurance cannot be limited to pre-deployment testing. The decision has to be evaluable at the point it is about to become real.
Assurance is available at runtime
The agent proposes. The assurance layer determines whether execution may proceed.
- Agent
- Proposed action
- AnantVerify: current state, evidence, authority
- ALLOW / HOLD / ESCALATE / BLOCK
- Execution gateway
AnantVerify is not limited to pre-deployment testing. It can operate at runtime, immediately before a consequential action, against the state that actually governs execution.
Four operational outcomes
The result is operational — not merely another risk score
Keep enforcement outside agent discretion
A control implemented as a request to the agent is not a control
- Agent
- Proposed action
- AnantVerify
- Execution gateway
- Enterprise system
If AnantVerify returns BLOCK, the normal execution path does not execute. The agent cannot reason its way around the control.
A critical enterprise control should not be phrased as asking the agent to remember not to proceed when assurance fails. The execution path enforces the assurance verdict independently.
Authorization is bound to the decision, the proposed action, the state version, the applicable policy and the assurance determination — so an approval cannot become a reusable permission disconnected from its context. If material context changes before execution, reassessment may be required. That closes the gap between decision time and execution time.
“A prompt tells the agent what it should do. A control determines what it is permitted to do.”
Graduated autonomy
Automate what you can assure
Enterprise autonomy does not have to be binary. Each verdict corresponds to a level of automation the enterprise is prepared to accept for that decision, given the assurance available for it.
Put humans where they matter
Review should be routed, not universal
- Agent: PAY
- AnantVerify: ESCALATE
- Finance manager: approve with exception
- Payment executed
Human-in-the-loop systems become expensive when every agent decision needs manual review. AnantVerify focuses human attention on the decisions where additional authority is actually required — and gives the reviewer the context to judge it.
The reviewer receives
- The proposed action
- Relevant enterprise state
- Supporting evidence
- Contradictory evidence
- Applicable authority
- Reason for escalation
- Relevant DTT results
- Known coverage gaps
Instead of asking whether to approve with little context, the system can show why human authority is required.
And when a human does act, that intervention becomes part of the assurance record: who acted, what they saw, what authority they exercised, what they approved and what ultimately executed. Human judgment becomes traceable rather than an invisible break in the workflow.
Framework independence
Your enterprise should not have to choose an agent framework based on its assurance platform.
Framework independent by design
AnantVerify operates alongside leading frameworks and custom architectures
Framework names are the property of their respective owners. They are listed to describe integration patterns—not to imply partnership, certification or endorsement.

Enterprise execution
Frameworks can change. Enterprise assurance persists.
Enterprises are unlikely to use only one agent framework. Different teams may use different technologies at the same time. Without a common assurance architecture, each team develops its own definition of safe, approved, high confidence, requires review and allowed to execute.
Different frameworks can produce different forms of intelligence. The enterprise can still standardize the path from proposal to action — which separates agent innovation from enterprise control.
Agent frameworks will change
Own the assurance layer, not a dependency on one agent stack
Today's enterprise agent may use one framework. Tomorrow it may use another. Models, tools and orchestration patterns will change. The enterprise requirements around consequential actions do not.
Coverage, replay and practice
The last questions are the ones that make agent autonomy survivable in production.
Know what has actually been tested
Knowing what you haven't tested is part of knowing what you can safely automate
An agent may pass hundreds or thousands of evaluations without the enterprise knowing whether the important decision conditions were covered. AnantVerify tracks assurance coverage across invariance, material sensitivity, decision boundaries, interactions, temporal behavior, evidence, authority and state quality.
Coverage gaps may reveal
- Untested decision boundaries
- Untested interactions
- New policy conditions
- Unsupported state combinations
- New agent behaviors
- Unresolved evidence conflicts
- Unassured tool-to-action paths
The question changes from how many agent tests passed to which consequential behaviors we have actually assured.
Replay every consequential agent decision
Agent trace plus decision replay
Months after an agent acts, the organization should be able to reconstruct what the agent proposed, what enterprise state existed, what evidence supported or contradicted it, which authority applied, what assurance existed, why the action was allowed or stopped, who intervened, what actually executed and what happened afterward.
Together they create a reconstructable record of consequential agent behavior — agent trajectory, enterprise state, evidence, authority, assurance, execution and outcome.
Learn from production
Don't just fix the agent — strengthen the assurance system
- Production event
- Decision replay
- Root cause
- Failure pattern
- Candidate assurance requirement
- DTT
- Regression test
- Expanded assurance coverage
Production will reveal agent behaviors that pre-deployment evaluation never anticipated. An unexpected decision can become part of the organization's assurance memory rather than a one-off fix.
In practice
Same agent capability, different enterprise state, different result
AnantVerify does not need to rebuild your agent architecture. Keep your models, prompts, tools, workflows, orchestration and agent framework; introduce assurance at the consequential decision boundary.
Your agent proposes. AnantVerify assures. Your enterprise controls the action.
AI agents can be autonomous without being uncontrolled
Let agents reason. Let agents plan. Let agents use tools. Let agents collaborate. Let agents propose decisions. But when AI is about to create real enterprise consequence, require the decision to earn permission to act.
- Your agent proposes.
- AnantVerify assures.
- Your enterprise controls the action.
Enterprise Decision Assurance for AI agents.
The boundary is enforced at Runtime Control; what it draws on belongs to Evidence & Authority and Assurance Coverage; and the record it leaves is Decision Replay.
